Making The Perfect Latte

Making the perfect latte can take a bit of practice, but with the right ingredients and technique, you can enjoy a delicious and creamy latte at home. Here’s how to make a latte:
Ingredients:

  • Espresso
  • Milk – If you prefer non-dairy Milk, always opt for the ‘Barista’ option

Tools:

  • Espresso machine
  • Milk frother or steam wand
  • Milk pitcher
  • Latte glass or mug

Instructions:

  1. Brew your espresso shot(s) using an espresso machine.
  2. Pour milk into a milk pitcher. The amount of milk will depend on the size of your latte glass or mug. As a general rule, fill the pitcher about 1/3 to 1/2 full with milk.
  3. Use the steam wand or milk frother to froth the milk. Start by submerging the wand/frother into the milk, then gradually raise it to the surface of the milk. Keep the wand/frother just below the surface of the milk and continue to froth until the milk is creamy and has a velvety texture. Tap the pitcher on a flat surface to remove any large bubbles.
  4. Pour the frothed milk into your latte glass or mug, holding back the foam with a spoon. As you pour, gently move the pitcher back and forth to distribute the foam and milk.
  5. Use a spoon to scoop the foam on top of the latte.
  6. Pour the espresso shot(s) into the center of the latte.
  7. If desired, add a sweetener, such as sugar or flavored syrup, to taste.
  8. Enjoy your perfect latte!

  • Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
